Hi there, I'm Silvana. I am the Director of Coffee and Head Roaster for Publik Coffee in Salt Lake City, Utah. My career in coffee began about 15 years ago working as a barista. Through the years, I generated an interest in developing my sensory skills, so much so that I was able to attain my Q-grader certification.
As a female roaster under 5ft tall, I've had moments of doubt working in a roastery environment. One of the great things about the women in this industry is that we inspire and encourage one another to take on challenges.
I feel fortunate to be part of an incredible team. Shout out to the Publik roastery crew!
