U.S. latte art competition
Latte art adds an aesthetic element to coffee beverages. In the U.S. Latte Art Competition (USLAC) competitors are given the creative freedom to push the boundaries of what well texturized steamed milk could showcase. Various performance rounds challenge the baristas with free pour and designer techniques for both traditional latte and macchiato beverages. The designs presented are visually assessed by a panel of judges in addition to competitor workflow.
For the 2025 Season, one Regional Event is being held in Lincoln, NE through the partnership of Regional Hosts. The location and date of the National Championship is yet to be announced, but will take place in early 2025.
The US Latte ARt Competition is led and overseen by the USLAC Committee. This dedicated group of volunteers, with the help of our regional communities and partners, work year round to organize, produce, and facilitate the competition. This competition could not happen without the dedicated support of our communities.

The US Latte Art Competition could not be facilitated without the dedicated on-site support of it’s Judges and Volunteers. Joining the ranks of either group can be intimidating for a first timer, however, there is so much value and opportunity for professional development that can come from your dedicated participation.
There is no pre-requisite for signing up to Judge. Judges will be approved to judge after passing the Calibration Workshop that takes place the day before the start of Competition.
