U.S. roasters CHAMPIONSHIP

The United States Coffee Roasting Championship (USRC) honors the craft and expertise of coffee roasters, recognizing those who excel in unlocking the full potential of each coffee. Competitors are rigorously evaluated on their ability to develop roast profiles that enhance the coffee’s unique characteristics and deliver exceptional cup quality.

This year, the U.S. Roasting Championship is coming to the Houston area, February 27 – March 1, 2026.

There are 24 competitor spots in total. This year, 8 spots are reserved for the top six champions from the 2024 and 2025 U.S. Roasting Championships. These reserved spots are first-come, first-served and will be held for 48 hours. Any unclaimed reserved spots after the 48-hour window will be released to the public. 2024–2025 Top 6 champions must DM @uscoffeechamps or email uscc@roastronix.com to receive a registration code.

Registration for competitors and volunteers opens Monday, January 12 at 1 PM CST.

The US Roasters Competition is led and overseen by the USRC Committee. This dedicated group of volunteers, with the help of our regional communities and partners, work year round to organize, produce, and facilitate the competition. The U.S. Roasters Competition Committee is a dedicated group of Lead Volunteers that work year round to develop and facilitate the U.S. Roasters Competition. With diverse backgrounds and skillsets inside and outside of competition we are always looking to further diversify the constituents of this committee to better reflect the totality of the USRC. U.S roasters competition JUDGE + VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

The US Roastes Competition could not be facilitated without the dedicated on-site support of it’s Judges and Volunteers. Joining the ranks of either group can be intimidating for a first timer, however, there is so much value and opportunity for professional development that can come from your dedicated participation.

There is no pre-requisite for signing up to Judge. Judges will be approved to judge after passing the Calibration Workshop that takes place the day before the start of Competition.
