Hello! I am from Grand Rapids, MI and I have been working in specialty coffee for 5 years now. I most enjoy the interpersonal and scientific aspects of working in coffee, but the new challenges every day keep me coming back. I never thought I would grow to love coffee as much as I have in the last five years, but with my ever-growing passion I am excited to compete for the first time this year. When I’m not behind the bar I am usually reading a book, probably non-fiction. I also enjoy spending time outside and I try to hike near the lakeshore any time the Michigan weather allows for it.
