In order to judge at the U.S. Coffee Championships (USCC) in Orange County, CA and/or Portland, OR you will need to judge at 1 or more of the CoffeeChamps Qualifying Competitions or have judged at the previous season’s USCC. Judges for USCC will be invited from the pool of judges from the Qualifying Competitions and the previous season’s USCC. Judging at a Qualifying Competition does not guarantee a spot to judge at USCC.

Judges must participate the Judges Certification Workshop the day before the Qualifying Competition. If you are judging at multiple CoffeeChamps Qualifying Competitions you’ll still need to attend every Judges Certification Workshop.

It is not possible to compete and judge in the same competition, in the same season. Competitors may not judge in the same competition in which they competed, at any level, even if they do not advance until the conclusion of the season with the World Coffee Championships. Judges may compete in other competitions they are not judging.

Additionally, it is not possible to judge more than one competition at the same Qualifying Competition.

Judges must also attend the Online Learning Session for the competition they will be judging. You can find links to register for a session here.
